Inner Man Vs Outer Man & WWJD?

We are all in a race, and we all have a purpose to run this race, Don't we?

Every thing we have in Life will fade away and is temporal, but what does remain till we die...!!!? Not our fashion wardrobe, house, gadgets, expensive cars, or relationships. But being realistic, though I'm not so comfortable saying this, It will be only us; I mean, Only you!

Just as you came into the world alone, will you also return. Don't be alarmed, we still have hope that's why we are thinking together. 3 things will remain as a treasured gift from our Creator.....till the end!

Our body, soul and spirit will remain until our breath stops.

Yes! We are all aware that we have a Body, Soul and spirit right? 

Just like Our Creator who is 3 in 1(Father - Son - Holy spirit)

Father God As in Genesis 1 :27 So God created mankind in his own image,in the  image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Son Jesus As in John 3:16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 

Holy Spirit Jesus says in John 14:16 I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, He will give you  this Helper to be with you forever. 17 The Helper is the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him because it does not see him or know him. But you know him. He lives with you and he will be in you.

Similarly we are also made in his likeness 3 in 1:

The Body which is explicitly visible to our naked eyes 

Our soul which is the one that determines who we are - a unique personality, talented and within.

The spirit which is the one that determines if we have life or not,

which is given to us from God as mentioned in Ecclesiastes 12:7.

BODY 

So as we see this verse, Ecclesiastes 12:7 it says, For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. And in Ecclesiastes 3:20 it says,  All go to one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. So this is our understanding of the Body. And we all have a structure that God has created. We know for sure when we read psalm 139:13 that, "You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb." And when we die it returns to dust.

SOUL

Thinking of soul, He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of humans; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end( Ecclesiastes 3:11). We were made for Eternity to live with him forever. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet lose their own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? The Bible also says, Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell (Matthew 10:28).

The verses above says that Body will be destroyed but our Soul cannot be destroyed!  

When we live in our Soulish ways according to the desires birthed in us, we will be judged to either heaven or hell by God our righteous judge but here is the game changer! God is righteous but he is patient with you and me, 2 peter 3:9 says that he does not want anyone to be destroyed, his desire is that none should perish but come to him to repentance. So he came in the form of man to trade us to be citizens of heaven through Jesus.

If we are adopted by God as sons and daughters by believing in our hearts and confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, And that God raised him from the dead, as in Romans 10:9, we will be saved and redeemed through the blood of the lamb, i.e through Jesus Christ, the son who came to save our souls from condemnation and hell by grace.

SPIRIT

Now what happens to the spirit, It returns from every Body to the owner, our loving God who breathed Life - His Spirit into us. 

Battle between Body & Soul

We understand that Spirit is a gift to all the people. But the way we live Life truly matters for we need to live a life worthy of eternity. We are living in our body's desires which is birthed in Sin since we were born in sin, and there is a battle within us. And in this battle The BODY is the OUTER MAN and SOUL is the INNER MAN. 

Now if we receive Jesus, spend time with him through prayer and gaining strength through his living word and build a relationship with Him, His spirit which is Holy will dwell in us and strengthen the inner man - our Soul. If we feed our outer man, then our evil ways and human's sinful nature become stronger and we feel empty in the end even when we have everything we need . 

THEREFORE THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE ONE WHO DIRECTS BOTH OUR BODY AND SOUL WHEN WE GIVE HIM FULL CONTROL!

It is our personal choice to feed either the Inner Man or Outer Man more.

So if you choose to strengthen the Inner Man as a child of God, you will have the right keys To live life in Freedom and To Live like Jesus. We can live according to the purposes God has designed for our lives, by understanding the way we were created to live on earth and to live in eternity in Heaven with Jesus.

Live Out Loud!

1. Living in Freedom: When we accept Jesus into our hearts, he gives us his holy spirit to be with us and in us, and when he is with us, we will be led by the Holy spirit. He will guide us in every phase of our life, If we are sensitive to his voice, we will live a life worthy of our calling. If not, we will be ruled by our soul's desires and get into troublesome traps unknowingly.

Be strong by feeding your spirit with the word of God and responding to Holy Spirit's voice so that the inner man is louder than the outer man. Also BEWARE of selling your Soul to the Devil. He is not the owner of us but our Creator alone. We belong to Jesus since he has redeemed us through the Cross. Amen!

2. Living like Jesus: Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me." Mathew 16:24.

In most of our day to day situations, we often tend to decide on our feelings spontaneously. But, as we have been baptized, we need to put our flesh to death and depend on the Holy spirit to lead us in our decisions...And I recommend this...Always ask yourself this question when you make a small or big decision,

 What would Jesus Do? - WWJD

• If your friend is emotionally conquering your heart, and driving your life, it's time to stop! Ask the question! WWJD? You shall not worship any idols - Yeah! If your friend is the one you depend on for everything then your friend becomes your idol.
• If your dealing with issues related to grudge or hard feelings towards someone you once cared for! You need to stop! Ask yourself the question WWJD?
• If you are lonely, heart broken, living a lavish life! Ask yourself WWJD?

So in conclusion...Live your life in Freedom through the Holy Spirit ruling you
(Body, Soul, Spirit) completely to live like Jesus and always be prepared for eternity. None can escape death, unless we are caught up in Christ's coming! May his peace conquer our hearts.
